The Lordship Pub London Wedding // Introducing Alexa and Dave
I met Alexa and Dave a few weeks before their wedding; even though we'd been emailing over the previous six months or so, seeing these two together and hearing about their plans really gave me an insight into their life together, and the two of them as a couple. They are so lovely and down-to-earth, not a limelight sort of couple, so they'd planned to have a quiet, personal wedding ceremony at Romsey Town Hall with just close family present, and a week later celebrated in style with friends and family at The Lordship Pub in Dulwich.Alexa and Dave first moved in together not far from The Lordship, so this pocket of London is very particular to them as a couple. On their first date, they whizzed around the Tate Modern before holing up in a number of London eateries and pubs for the rest of the day - when I heard this story I could totally relate (larding comes first), and loved these guys even more!!A particular sweet spot about this day was that their non-wedding wedding celebration was a melange of talent close to them; Dave's dad is a retired chef who made their wedding fruit cake (nestled amongst their top cakes from their favourite local market stall), and Alexa works with Lucy at Quill London, who created their on-the-day stationery (and also very kindly connected us) as well as recommending Alexa's florist, Jen at Willowgold, and her dressmaker Andrea Hawkes - what a wonderful bunch of people to work with all round, as well as Anna and Ellis and the team at The Lordship Pub!Alexa and Dave will currently be found unplugged on honeymoon somewhere in Sweden; but hopefully not so unplugged that they miss out on their app!I received some very kind words from the lovely Alexa upon receiving their app: "Thank you so much for sending these over, they are amazing and we can't stop looking at them!! We are so looking forward to the viewing. You have topped off our evening wonderfully as we are curled up in front of the fire with a glass of red in hand (comatosed from all the cinnamon buns consumed in the day!)..." - sounds like a perfect honeymoon to me!!!Looking forward to seeing these two again in a couple of weeks' time and going through lots more photos from this beautiful day, but for now, here are some teasers to keep you going... If you're planning your wedding at the gorgeous Lordship pub, I'd love to hear from you and chat photography; I adore shooting these intimate, creative London pub weddings and can quote for shorter midweek and off-season weddings as well. I look forward to hearing from you! Drop me a note here!!
